Frequently Asked Questions
What is 60000 RUNS?
A free cricket game by The Cast Patrol. Draft a Test XI with their Test runs hidden, then add them up. Can your XI reach 60000 runs combined?
How do you play 60000 RUNS?
Pick a mode, then you are offered three random Test players at a time. Choose one for your XI without seeing their runs. You have 20 seconds to pick, or the first option goes in. Repeat until every spot is filled: five batters, an all-rounder (a player who bats and bowls), a keeper and four bowlers. Your total is revealed as you go.
What are the modes?
60000+: reach 60000 runs or more, with one of each wildcard. Exactly 60000: land on 60000 on the dot, under or over is a miss, and it’s Hard Mode: no free wildcards, only paid ones, one of each a game. Team Spin: choose a position, then spin a nation and year and pick from that Test squad. HIGHER OR LOWER: CRICKET: its own game on CAST Games, with the Big Bash and Test categories. Is the next player’s number higher or lower? Call it before the clock runs out.
What are Legends?
Now and then in 60000+, one offer is a Legends Pick: three of Test cricket’s retired greats, like Don Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar and Brian Lara. Their runs are hidden like everyone else’s, and they count their whole Test careers. You get one at most per game, and it can turn up late in a game, just when you need it most.
How do the leaderboards work?
Sign in free with a CAST Profile and pick a username. Your best game in every mode goes up automatically on today’s, this week’s and the all-time boards. Tap any name to see the XI behind the score, with the luck of their draw. Exactly 60000 ranks the most exact hits, then the closest team.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play as a guest, and your games stay on this device. A free CAST Profile (Google or Apple, for ages 13 and over) saves your history, stats and trophies across every CAST game, puts you on the leaderboards and gives you wildcards every game.
What does the Luck number mean?
After each game we compare the runs on every card you were offered with what an average game deals you. Luck +23% means you drew 23% more runs than usual; a minus number means a tough draw. Your first offer and any Legends Pick are left out. You see it on your results and on leaderboard team sheets.
What are wildcards?
Reroll (Respin in Team Spin) gives you a fresh offer, Reveal Runs shows the runs for everyone on the current offer, and Remove Player takes one player out of your XI so you can draft again. Each can be used once per game.
Which runs count?
Runs in Test cricket since the first Test in 1877, for every Test nation (and the ICC World XI’s one Test in 2005). One-day, T20 and first-class runs are not included.
Where do the run numbers come from?
Test records from ESPNcricinfo’s Statsguru, names from Wikidata. Every player’s runs and wickets are their Test career totals. Each player’s role (batter, keeper or bowler) comes from their runs, their catches and stumpings as keeper and how much they bowled, and a player who is both a batter and a bowler is an all-rounder. Spot something that looks wrong? Let us know and we’ll check it.
How do I contact you or report a bug?
Use the form: pick what it’s about, tell us what happened and we’ll reply by email. Every message gets a reference number, so nothing gets lost.
Is 60000 RUNS free to play?
Completely free. No download needed. Open your browser, draft your XI and play.
Who made 60000 RUNS?
The Cast Patrol, the team behind CAST Games.
Is 60000 RUNS affiliated with the ICC?
No. 60000 RUNS is an independent, fan-made game. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with the ICC, Cricket Australia or any national board.
