How It Works

Spin, draft your NRL era 13, then win all 27 games of the season.

The Idea

Spin a random NRL club and season, pick one player from that squad, and repeat until your 13 is full. Then your team plays a full season: 24 regular-season games and the finals. Win every one, Grand Final included, and you go 27-0.

The Team

You fill a standard starting 13: FB, W, C, C, W, FE, HB, P, HK, P, SR, SR, LK. Players can go into any position they are listed for, so a centre who also played wing can fill either spot. Tap an empty spot on the field and the squad shows who can play there.

The Modes

Pack cards come in five rarities: Gold, Green, Blue, Silver and Bronze. Hard Mode and the Daily Challenge have their own leaderboards, so pure footy knowledge gets its own ranking.

The Daily Challenge

A new challenge drops every day at midnight, Sydney time, the same for everyone. It could be a Match Day between the two clubs playing that day, one club across the whole NRL era, the same spins for all, or a squad rating to hit. You get 3 goes and your best one counts on the Daily leaderboard.

Wildcards

Wildcards come with a free CAST Profile. Guests see them locked until they sign in. CAST Pass adds a second of each, a Superstar Key every day, Substitute (move a player already in your 13 into another open spot he can play, once a Classic season) and Custom Seasons (pick your era and hide the ratings in Classic). Hard is Hard Mode: no free wildcards for anyone, CAST Pass included, but you can use one of each a season from your Vault or buy it on the spot.

Run It Back

Just missed out in Classic? A Run It Back runs your finished season back with one loss turned into a win: a lost Grand Final first, otherwise your closest regular-season loss. Once a season. A season run back shows a boost mark on the leaderboards, and a run-back 27-0 still counts as a Perfect Season.

The Rules

Where the Ratings Come From

The player pool covers the whole NRL era, 1998 to now. Every rating is an editorial opinion of The Cast Patrol, built from a formula based on peak performance, era context and career impact. They are debatable. That is the point. They are not official NRL ratings and may differ from any other source.
