How It Works

Three modes. One target: 25000 BBL runs.

The Idea

Draft a Big Bash XI. Every player carries their BBL runs, but you do not see the number until you pick them. Add up your XI and try to reach 25000.

The Team

You fill 11 spots on the ground: 5 batters, an all-rounder, a keeper and 4 bowlers. The All-Rounder spot is only for a player who both bats and bowls (BAT and BOWL on their card), so a pure batter, a pure bowler or a keeper who bats can’t fill it. Players can go into any role they are listed for, so an all-rounder can also fill a batting or a bowling spot, and a keeper who bats can fill either the gloves or a batting spot. If a player fits more than one open spot, you choose where they go.

The Modes

Team SpinChoose a role, then spin a season and club and pick from that squad in that roleFull XI on 25000 or more1 of each

In Team Spin you choose the role first, before the club and season are revealed, so you are locked in. If nobody in that squad fits, you get a free respin.

Wildcards

Wildcards come with a free CAST Profile: one of each per game, or two of each with CAST Pass. Guests see them locked until they sign in.

Legends

Now and then in 25000+, one offer is a Legends Pick: three of the BBL’s retired greats, like Aaron Finch, Shaun Marsh and Chris Gayle. You get one at most per game, and it can turn up late in a game, just when you need it most.

Legends keep their runs hidden like everyone else, and they count their whole BBL careers. They only appear in 25000+.

The Rules

Where the Numbers Come From

Runs count Big Bash League matches from 2011/12 to now, finals included. Runs for national sides and in other T20 leagues are not included.

Ball-by-ball data comes from Cricsheet, under the Open Data Commons Attribution License. Every career total is checked against the official records, so the runs on each card are exact. Roles come from where each player batted, their stumpings and how much they bowled, and a player who is both a batter and a bowler is an all-rounder.
